Friday Shoot-Out: Water, Lakes, Streams
This week's FSO assignment is water, lakes, and streams, suggested by Nicole Howard. Being a Cancer, I love water in all its many forms! Below, I included some lakes, one ocean, and some ice. The ice in the drain against the gray looked interesting to me which is why I took the picture. I hope you enjoy my photos!!

Haikubones: Radiant
The prompt from haikubones is radiant.
Chakras vibrate in
a dance of color and light,
she slides down radiance.

One Single Impression: Oubliette
The prompt from onesingleimpression is oubliette.
She liked his Romeo eyes,
so tried to be a soft Juliette.
In her blood, hearts rise,
but how real is a mystery yet.
She thinks about amber skies,
milky clouds in a creamy sunset;
too young for indigo sighs
that mask the broken lovers fret.
With you, I'll gently break these ties,
sing a new song, see what I get.
I know the grey, dingy cries
that echo from this oubliette.
Love is Not A Blue Sky

One Single Impression: Icarus
The prompt from onesingleimpression is Icarus.
The long morning stretched
itself over the Earth,
a thin layer of heat and fire.
How cool the ocean
which reached up its
arms to brush the sky.
Don't don't don't
Daedalus whispers
in his son's ears;
moderation, my boy.
Those words
hung in the air
as Icarus rose
to taste fire.
Water cools and welcomes
into its deadly heaven.

Haiku Bones: Quietly
The prompt from haiku bones is quietly.
Night slips from the sky;
under cover, soft from sleep,
rain comes quietly.

rain comes quietly.

Friday Shoot-Out: Menus
This week's topic is menus. I kind of took creative license on this one. I have included things that might be on a menu. For instance, for my cat Magnum, the plants are often on his "menu".
Tomatoes are one of my favorite menu items.
This guy may end up on a menu.
Eggs, anyone?
Hope you enjoyed my interpretation!
