Curly and Twisted Friday

The FMTSO this week is twisted, curly, contorted.
This tree has some nice curves.  It is in my parents' yard in front of the house where I grew up.  It's leaves, which you cannot see here, are a beautiful red color.
Near where I live is a place called Wheaton Village.  It is a glass museum.  They have some really amazing pieces of glass art including the largest glass bottle in the world!  Every year in June, they have a Fantasy Faire and they do a May Pole.  These ribbons will soon be quite twisted!  The announcer said "It is chaos and it is glorious."
Here are some curly red petals.
Here is a curly path in Colorado.

I hope you enjoyed!

  1. I love that the tree is in your parents yard and you grew up with it. I'd like to take that road to see hwere it will take me next.
    Happy weekend.

  3. Nice sturdy tree. Did you climb it as a kid? Pretty red flower and nice curly path in Colorado. Great photos, Lena.

  4. A maypole - I haven't seen one since I was a child. I wonder why the custom of dancing around the maypole died out?
Love the last shot of the long and windy road.
