They're Creepy and They're Crawly

The town shoot out challenge this week is creepy crawly, perfect for Halloween on Monday.  I am hoping to get trick-or-treaters but, unfortunately, we usually do not get many where I live.
I know butterflies are not very spooky, but they can be creepy and crawly if you've ever had one land on you.  I took the pictures of the butterflies at the Butterfly Pavilion in Broomfield, CO--not officially my town but I do have family there that I visit.  The Butterfly Pavilion is definitely one of my favorite places.

Spider webs are intriguingly beautiful and complex.
I took this picture at Wheaton Village, the glass museum near where I live.  We were walking around the grounds at their annual fantasy faire and I attempted to take a macro shot of it.
Another butterfly from the Pavilion.

Hope you enjoyed and Happy Halloween to those who celebrate it!

Scavenger Hunt

The challenge from my town shootout this week was to find photos to represent the saying "something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue".
Here is an "OLD" house near where I live.  I am intrigued by it.  No one seems to live there and it is a fun place to photograph.
Something "NEW"--seeds about to grow into dandelions.
Something "BORROWED".  I use this coffee cup every morning, borrowed from my husband who used this when he camped before we met.
Something "BLUE"--the water in Punta Cana where we went for our honeymoon this past August.  If you want to see more of the beach shots I took, check out honeymoon.

Hope you enjoyed my interpretation of the theme!

How Sweet It Is!

It has been a few weeks since I posted for the my town shoot out theme.  I couldn't resist the "sweet" temptation.  I stuck to a literal interpretation for this one.
How I like my coffee, sweet, creamy, and hot!
A sweet, yet healthy, treat.
Who can resist a sweet plate of cookies?

Hope you enjoyed the sweet journey!
