Wheel Song
Wheels take home so many things,
like steely glints and ragged dreams.
The axles turn in my soul,
I know they know where to go.
The darkness through the windows glare,
like ebon ghosts with silent stares.
I've shed so many skins on this ride
with each turn, I've cried, lied, died.
Wheels take home so many things,
like steely glints and ragged dreams.

Great photos and I love the poem.

ReplyDeleteimagine all those coca cola coming to your house!!!! in Borneo, when I was growing up in the 60s, we put a little bit of salt into the coke and they fizz more.
ReplyDeleteLena, your poem is spectacular. I love it! I'm so glad you chose to write about wheels as well as show pictures. I like the black and white photo.
