I Heart My Town Shoot Out

Throwing A Heart out the Window

The years behind us,
your eyes did not even blink,
as useless as dead flesh.

The cantation said,
you held my heart before you,
some strange, pink trophy.

The snow held its silence
as the last of the rhythm
pushed out its red lament.

  1. I am so jealous of people like you who have such as way with words. I am the worst!

  2. Lovely words! I'm like Rebecca, lousy with words, that's why my blog are peppered with photos with minimal words. I let my photos do the talking!

  3. A lovely marriage of words and image!

  4. I agree that it is a perfect match of image and words. Also powerful. I feel a little like I've been kicked in the gut -- and I mean that as a compliment.

  5. Same here I love to read but I can't put the words to rhyme, and put in together to give a greater meaning. Love it! Thanks for the visit and happy weekend.
